KP's ACTORS GYM CORNER

ALoha everyone, This was taken from a friend of mind in Hawaii who gave a very helpful advice for inspring actors... I modify some changes to fit us here in the Central Valley and to clarify.

1) NEVER PAY FOR ACTING WORK. Never pay anyone to get you Acting work. This includes ALL fee-based websites which are all a rip-off. Be especially aware of fee-based websites advertised at Craigslist.org under "gigs -talent". They are all scams. Don't waste your hard earned money joining them. TContinue

KP,
I will definitely try not to get lost while on my way to the LOOKEE LOO SHOWDOWN. Where can I find the physical address to the event? I need to google map it and check if google can provide images of the area [landmarks]. I soo need a tour of Fresno.

Yes one of my books is a Children's book. It came out last November and you can get it on Barnes and Noble.com or other bookstores like Amazon. (also I have a buncha copies to I could swing one by your studio some time.)
Suzuki Viewpoints was really a great experience for me as I come from a dance background. Before I studies Suzuki I studied Meisner for many years. I loved it. It was very intense and we got really deep into Characterizations and scene work, writing, and emotional prep. What do you teach at your school? Do you also teach the business?

Hey KP,

Thanx for the quick reply, I look forward to working with you on the AIE Program. If you have any questions, let me know…

Regarding my acting, check out my vids on my FFA page -- especially the ones with ‘DR’ in the title… These aren’t all I have. Since I found out that it’s better to first upload to Youtube because of the larger MB capacity, I’m reediting a bunch to afford the best quality I can…

As for your Lookee Loo Showdown -- it sounds fun. It’s just like one they’ve started at the San Luis Obispo International Film Festival I’ve wanted to do… Is this going to be part of the FFA annual conference? That would be a neat idea…

I’m going to check with some of the others I’ve worked with and those that are participating to see how I can be involved depending on my schedule. I look forward to seeing the results -- should be a thrill!

Regards,
Chad
