Tell us about yourself:
I began acting at the age of ten as a result of my best friend convincing me to go to an audition with her while growing up in Tulare, Ca. I was surprised to be cast as Peaseblossom the Fairy in A Midsummer Night's Dream at Encore Threatre and it was during that same run that I discovered my passion for acting and found that I had a hankering for theatrical hair and makeup.

Since that day I have been involved in more than 50 stage productions through performing, stage managing, set construction/painting, hair and makeup, costuming, anything I could really get my hands on. I worked with school and community theatres and also worked with the San Joaquin Valley Actors Repertory Company where I worked on my improvisational skills. Behind the scenes I specialized in period hair and makeup as well as old age makeup and finding a great time with special effects makeup.

My whole life I've been involved in the arts, starting with drawing and cartooning as a child and expanding into oil and acrylic paints, inkboards, clay sculpting, stained glass, found art, mosaics, etching glass, woodworking. I began singing in musical theatre as a child then moved to choirs and private vocal lessons. I play the cello and toured Italy playing with the Sequoia Youth Symphony. I love any medium that is available to me because it causes me to grow as an artist and as a person.

I began working in film in 2002 with acting and upon receiving my Cosmetology license in August 2004 began working as a hair and makeup artist for both film and print as well as working as a full time stylist at a salon. I worked as hairstylist, makeup artist, and wardrobe for DeVore Talent and Casting for all of their photo shoots from 2004-2008 which gave me experience in styling a variety of clients ranging the ages of 1-91 in a vast amount of styles.

After 5 years of working primarily at a salon because it allowed me availability to do film work, I've come to realize my true passion is creating in an ever changing environment. I love the excitement of new people, new locations, new projects. I love the collaboration of a team and the amazing end result of a group's common passions becoming actualized on film. It's the most rewarding sensation I've experienced and I want nothing more than to be able to meet people with the same or different passions and aspirations to see what can be created out of it.

Sup Nikki,

Just got back from filming a scene for "Strange Fruit"... Your scene was where you were listening in on a couple and drinking coffee... I think it was one of the "Weaver's Rock" episodes.

Speaking of Coffee, last time I saw Martin he was working at Starbucks on Main... I think he was back from college already... I need to go by there and tell him about this site...

Are you going to be working with us on "Survival" or "Drama Queen" this month?

Cheers,

I also caught some of your acting on some other vids -- you've quite the talent! We need to get you on screen more! I'm looking forward to working together again.
