Thanx Lori, I may cut my hair soon for some roles coming up... I think what we last did with CCF has potential -- "Drama Queen" is like "The Wonder Years: Bring it On!" - LOL! The guys want me to start acting in some recurring roles, so hopefully...

Hi Chad Wow, you can really transform. I like the short white hair. I remember you looking like a native american with long black hair long as well. And now a clown :-) I hope to get to film with you sometime.

Hey Matt, Thanx for the kind words. This is a "concept in progress." I've always been awed by how much info can be put across in a 60-second commercial. I've applied that concept to these w/ quick editing, etc. Thanx for the feedback. I take it ...

Hey Chad! Thanks again for the kudos. Well, this reel is obviously effective because I now want to cast you in something. Your acting talent really comes across in each clip. That said, I'm not sure about the "rapid reel" concept. I found it a bit...

Mini Biography:

Chad R Homan is a 3rd generation artist, film-maker and educator. His father, Ralph J. Homan, became a renowned artist, as his mother, Sue Vieira majored in education and child development -- he recently retired as Instructor and Chair of the Art Dept. at the College of the Sequoias, while she continues her work with 'Heart - Pro Youth.'

Chad's grandfather, Ralph Christian Homan, ran the Art Dept. at Warner Bros. during the 30's and 40's. His uncle, Mel Homan was a favorite artist and stand-by painter of Spielberg's and Eastwood's.

Chad developed his passions early, constantly supported by his parents and occasionally working with his uncle. Through their encouragement, he pursued and developed many artistic disciplines.

In his early twenties, Chad was accepted into the Actors Workshop at Warner Brothers 'Ranch' and moved south. While there, he was selected to perform limited stunts in Spielberg's '1941'. Watching Mr. Spielberg work, Chad felt that his creative talents would best be served behind the camera.

He continued to study at Tony Barr's Film Actors Workshop for several years after they left the 'Ranch.' He's had a few acting roles here and there to stay 'fresh.' He also kept up college courses and seminars from AFI, Sherwood Oaks Experimental Film College and the UCLA Ext. Program to name a few. At these venues, Chad had the opportunity to learn from notables such as Ralph Levy, Syd Field, Vilmos Zsigmond, James Toback and others.

Chad moved back to Central California in the late eighties to temporarily help with his sister's and brother-in-law's ranch. As though preordained, he met other independent film-makers working in the valley -- one he was fortunate to have studied and collaborated with for several years was Dr. Renee Harmon.

Soon, Chad’s stepfather, pilot Ken Vieira (SAG), entered the industry, with a family business, “Cinema Choppers.” They leased helicopters, flew and performed aerial stunts for "The Puppet Masters," “Under Siege,” “Short Cuts,” “Independence Day,” “Broken Arrow,” “Mars Attacks,” “Mercy Streets,” “Mighty Joe Young,” “America’s Most Wanted,” and others. Here, through his stepfather, Chad garnered more experience and insight with such revered film makers as Robert Altman.

Today, Chad continues to gather gold from gurus like his village's paternal-units as times allow. He believes that furthering education is vital vis-a-vis today's exciting technological advancements. At present, he has studied with Alan Autry, Jim Inch and Charlie Bonner at Autry’s Dirt Road Productions Actors Studio.

Chad feels that culture’s cardinal for sustainable society -- he continues to produce artwork and volunteers his time in this belief. He’s chaired and been a board member of various community organizations -- including two terms as Chair of the Tulare County Board of Mental Health and Chair of the Art Division of the Tulare County Fair. Currently, Chad's Vice President of the Arts Council of Tulare County.

An art column, photos and Prs of his are published in various media outlets including the Gannett News and Information Company -- Visalia Times Delta, Tulare Advance Register -- the Fresno Bee and area TV and radio stations.

Though truest to his passion -- Chad’s an Independent Film Maker and a Producer with SHG Films -- “It's a start-up Production Company filming in the Central Valley. It's where home and family are for most of us -- and with a little luck, film-making too!”

That's what people need to beware of, the Artickoke Flu! No but really, I'm rounding my one week mark with this godforsaken flu and I've got the biggest case of cabin fever. Had to work Halloween but since we were both a bit raggish we went as Jack and Jill, I don't even have pics that's how under the radar we were. I'll send Jessika a message and see what's up with that project... I'm feening for screen time. What did you watch, my cameo from Weavers Rock?

whaaat up? So I missed the fair gig, I was really looking forward to free admission considering the honey and I broke the bank on damned artichokes trying to eat healthy at the fair. ha! Now after a weeks stint with the flu I'm about done with being at home. Lemme know if anything interesting comes about... hope you're well.

Hey Chad, nice to know there is someone else in Visalia that is into filmmaker. Of course i am pretty new at this but I love films. Yes I optioned my screenplay to a gentlemen by the name of John Aguirre, a director/producer out of Los Angeles. He wants to film the Film In Madera/Fresno. We rewrote the screenplay and had a reading in Los Angeles. Very interesting but now i am finding out how difficult it is to actually get the film made. But we believe in the script so we are working hard. I know once we get going he will need help because he does not know this area. He has done a lot of assisistant directing but I think he could pull this off. Anyway give some feedback at gflo52@yahoo.com. Again thanks for the feedback. By the way, how did you know the film was about wrestling?
