Fresno Filmmakers Alliance

connecting our local production community

The Fresno Production Studio Project is a viable and practical endeavor, and the timing is right for it. It's the right-size project for these times, and it will be a boost to the economy right away.

But MY personal economy, unfortunately, requires that I return to Los Angeles where there are more opportunities for me to earn a living. I've not been able to find any work in Fresno since arriving last year, and will have to leave on March 1st.

I hope also to put more effort into my personal project, the dramatic indie feature film HOLLYWOOD BOYS. I need to raise funds for this project. http://www.HollywoodBoys-themovie.com

Of course, the Fresno Production Studio Project is "my baby," so I cannot abandon it, and need to find a way to continue it even while I'm in Los Angeles. There is, as there always has been, a need for others to step up to help build the Project. Now more than ever.

If you have an interest in actively participating, please let me know.

Michael, I am sorry to hear that you are leaving Fresno (fortunately Los Angeles is only a few hours away). :) This is exactly the reason we need a film production studio in Fresno! We simply must attract and retain qualified creative people. The Fresno Production Studio is an ingenious idea and will do so much to stimulate our economy, confidence and creative environment.

I will be happy to become more involved in the project, and I am certain quite a few other people at the forum feel the same way. This project is enormously important to Fresno and the Central Valley - perhaps now more than ever - and we cannot let this opportunity slip away from us! Can we schedule a new meeting before you leave, even though there recently was one? Just let me know when and where and I will be there!

I am sad to hear this. It was great to have you spearheading everything but I can understand what you're saying about the work opportunities available here. I wish I could help more but I'm so tapped out usually that it's hard to make a lot of the meetings already. I'm sure you'll have better luck in LA and I'd love to offer support for Hollywood Boys.

sincerely, Justin

I am disappointed for us, that we are losing you. But happy that you have an opportunity to go back to L.A. and make more progress on Hollywood Boys.

Best of luck, you will be missed dearly,

Vince

Wow, that's sad to hear. I hope you find better luck in LA.
You have been the strongest force paving the road for the Fresno Studio project. Thanks for that!!!
Don't forget about us here in Fresno. Please send anything you can back to our beloved community. Remember... we do have some decent facilities and people here!
Best of luck my friend!

Michael, I attended today's meeting and learned more about your project. After the meeting I spoke with Ray and he answered other questions I had. I also get pulled between Fresno and Los Angeles due to financial issues, so I understand your situation. I would like to help with your project, I just need a little notice because of what I have going on.
